Walking Football in Inverclyde

Greenock Morton in the Community and the Inverkip Community Hub are working in partnership to kick off a Walking Football programme in Inverclyde. This programme is designed for Men and Women aged 50 and over and will be hosted at the new Inverkip Community Hub. The launch of the programme will take place in the Inverkip Hub on Friday 26th May, 2017 at 1pm finishing around 3pm. An invitation to attend the launch is open to all members of the community and attendees will be provided with information on the set up and rules regarding Walking Football , as well as health and safety requirements, and have the opportunity to participate in short tasters sessions of Walking Football on the astroturf park. The activities which proved most popular in feedback from visitors at our recent Open Days in January were as follows:

Art Classes
Arts & Crafts
Book Club
Film Nights (All Ages)
Photography Class
Table Tennis

Of the above, we have already kicked off an adult Table Tennis Group and we hope to start up a children’s group soon. Films nights and/or days we hope will be starting in the not too distant future.

We will continue tolook at establishing new groups/activities and will be seeking on going feedback from the community on which activities are still needed. Drop us a line if you any suggestions.
