An Audience with Jackie McNamara
Spend an evening with the legend that is Jackie McNamara … and hear first-hand about his amazing life and career.
About this event
‘His Name is McNamara’ is the riveting story of Jackie’s success and survival: from the glorious trophy-laden decade at Celtic including his time as club captain and his international caps to his dramatic departure in ’05 and subsequent spells with Wolves, Aberdeen, Falkirk and Partick Thistle. His book tells all - including his move into management - firstly with Thistle, then Dundee United before his time with York City.
Jackie pulls no punches - giving us the inside track on a glittering career as well as the battling qualities needed to succeed at the highest level of the game. And it was on those qualities that he drew when most needed … when his life was threatened by a brain aneurysm in early 2020.
More than a year on, he’s telling his story.
Be there and hear from the man himself in a unique interview - and take part in the Q&A session that follows when Jackie will answer questions from the audience.

New Facilities
ICI are pleased to announce that the hall projector has been replaced by a much more powerful model which gives a larger and brighter image. We have also improved the quality of the screen area to make best use of the new equipment. The setup for the new projector makes installation of additional equipment much easier: for example it is now very simple to connect in a laptop. The simpler connection includes both vision and sound.
UPDATE: Video On
The video system for the main hall is now fully up and running at full resolution. We provide a Blue Ray Dvd player which will play films at cinema screen size and quality. On the other hand, you can connect your laptop into the system and display your own projects.
Connecting equipment is easy and we have the necessary leads at hand so you can do this. You just plug and play. As always, help will be on hand if you require assistance.
Official Opening
Come along to our official opening with Mr Guy Clark - Her Majesty's Lord Lieutenant.
