Cliff Lyons......A Dearest Friend and Colleague Passing....
It is will deep regret and sadness that we have to announce that our dear colleague and friend Cliff has passed away after a short illness on the 4th of June 2018. Cliff is well known in the local community of Inverkip. He came here many years ago looking for somewhere to keep his boat and quickly fell in love with our small village and ended up making it his home. It was his love for Inverkip that made him contribute so much to the community over the years. He was part of the community council for some time acting as Treasurer then set up Inverkip Community Enterprises with other locals. He often gifted the primary school money for computers, and we were lucky enough to be gifted ourself with a great sound system and retractable seating that makes our community centre second to none. He had a big heart and wasn’t afraid to give and try and make the world a better place. You don’t often meet people like that. Cliff was special. He had a great life and worked hard to get where he wanted to be which allowed him then to give back. And give back he did. We will be forever grateful to the generosity, time and kindness Cliff gifted us. We have already named the main hall after him but I am more that sure in the following weeks we will find other ways to continue his legacy on.
Cliff will not be forgotten here at the Hub or within Inverkip Community Initiative and we will do all that we can to celebrate and continue his legacy on.
Good night Cliff, may you rest in peace xxx
